The Town of Davie’s Community Redevelopment Agency assisted a new business whose Grand Opening will be held on Wednesday, October 28th at 12:30 p.m. The Flashback Diner and Coffeehouse located at 4125 Davie Road (previous site of Lums) participated in two programs through the Davie CRA. The first program called the Commercial Grant Loan Assistance program pays 1/3 of the cost of renovation up to a maximum grant of $100,000. The second is a Commercial Loan Subsidy program in which the CRA buys down the interest of a certain loan by 5% for a
period of 5 years. The new diner benefited from the two CRA programs by receiving an amount of $157,000.
CRA Director Will Allen stated “The Town is delighted that the Flashback Diner and Coffeehouse has been able to participate and benefit from the incentive programs available to a new business that opens in the Davie Community Redevelopment area.” For more information about the Davie CRA, contact Will Allen at 954-797-2093.
Davie Mayor Judy Paul will attend the opening, along with other Town officials and community leaders.
