Window Project Complete at Old Davie School Historical Museum
The Old Davie School Historical Museum finally has a new view to the world. Beautiful custom made and historically accurate windows have replaced the deteriorating windows. Heavy damage from Hurricane Wilma had compromised the old windows and caused leaking into the plaster walls, creating more damage.

Councilman Mike Crowley led the capital campaign to raise the necessary funds for the project. The Davie School Foundation, Town of Davie, the Davie CRA, and Broward County worked together to complete the near quarter million dollar project. “Our precious School has finally gotten the face lift that it has needed for so long,” said Patti Koch, Executive Director. “I’d like to invite the entire community to stop by and visit the museum.”

The Old Davie School was built in 1918 and was the first permanent school in the Everglades. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. For more information, call Patti at 954-797-1044.
