CRA Board
Appointments: One exclusive appointment per Councilmember with two open nominations; members shall either reside or engage in business within the jurisdiction of the Town. Four year term for each member. This Agency is governed by Ordinance 88-23.
This Agency was created to carry out the purposes of the Community Redevelopment Act of 1969 (F.S. Chapter 163 Part III). Essentially an economic development program, the function of the Agency is to preserve and enhance the tax base, to alleviate conditions of slum and blight, to facilitate affordable housing, and to stimulate private sector participation within the redevelopment area. This Agency meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 12 noon.
Mission Statement
The Davie Community Redevelopment Agency was created pursuant to Chapter 163, Part III of Florida Statutes. The mission of the CRA is to eliminate and prevent conditions of slum and blight, and to facilitate redevelopment activities by the private sector within the redevelopment area of the Town of Davie.
